Our History
Waypoint started in 2018 when a small team of engineers noticed a pattern: companies with sophisticated data platforms kept rebuilding the same content management features from scratch. They'd invest months building rich text editors, media libraries, and localization systems—then realize they'd rather be building what made their product unique.
We thought there had to be a better approach. Our founders came from open source backgrounds and believed the best solutions come from working closely with the people who use them. We've spent years talking to product teams about what works, what doesn't work, and what they wished existed.
That learning shaped everything.
